This is the way that education is intended. Dr. Glass is a free resource for all. We are proud to provide royalty free content for the purpose of education and understanding in the podiatric medical world. These resources are delivered in a variety of ways to benefit your needs.
To receive the latest illustration, one may choose to subscribe to our video podcast via iTunes. Not only is the transcribed text available for viewing on this website, but web-code will be also be provided to allow embedding of these videos into another website via youtube.com/DrGlassDPM
With these services provided, the potential avenues of use for Dr. Glass Learning Resources are supplemental to podiatric medical education on an academic level, augmentation to the visual content of a lecture presentation, promotion of personal or private practice, as well as improving patient and consumer education.
Although Dr. Glass DPM - Learning Resources is an alias for an otherwise team effort, it is a free service made possible by the following individuals. Our animations are primarily created and rendered using Newtek’s Lightwave3D and a variety of other third party software products. Feel free to contact Dr. Glass or any of the other helpful participants that make this service possible.
Project Track Categories:
Biomechanics:
This podiatric medical illustration track is a project dedicated to introducing biomechanical concepts of the foot and leg. This is inherantly a challenging subject for many to learn, and therfore visualization in all 4 dimensions has demonstrated fairly satisfactory results thus far. More information can be found at www.DrGlass.org
Traumatology:
This podiatric medical illustration track is a project that is dedicated to providing an insight to traumatic mechanisms and associated classifications in lower extremity pathology of the foot, ankle, and leg. This track may also bear some overlap into the Surgical Survey track, because of the inherent nature of this material. More information can be found at www.DrGlass.org
Surgical Survey:
This podiatric medical illustration track is a project that is dedicated to providing a general survey of common pathologies as well as their associated surgical treatments for the foot and leg. Because of the sheer popularity of "self education" by patients and academics, entries in this track are aimed at providing useful informed consents and education to a variety of viewers. More information can be found at www.DrGlass.org
Video Documentary:
These vignettes are devoted to a variety of "stories" to be told. From people who make a difference in podiatry, to biochemical concepts, to DIY How To's, This project is about shedding some light on those people, techniques, and research who do the profession proud. More information can be found at www.DrGlass.org
ProjectMOS:
This is a collection of snippets and demos that would normally never see the light of day. However, it has been brought to my attention that they may be useful to some. Because most of these clips don’t have any sound or formal editing, we chose the term “M.O.S.” to represent it. (MOS means without sound in production terms Wikipedia.org's Entry for MOS). www.DrGlass.org
Creative Relief:
This is a repository of webbie induced, computer generated buffoonery. These videos are mainly designed with two reactions in mind. We want you to laugh and think. As an outlet for creativity and overall comic relief, we hope you enjoy watching these entries as much as we enjoy creating them. Cheers to you! www.DrGlass.org
